Jim Sugarman, a member of
the LWVPBC, is presently working on coordinating the strategic plan for our
League. With a graduate degree from the University of Chicago's School of
Social Service Administration he has over 45 years in the nonprofit arena. Some
of his local executive leadership positions have included RSVP of NYC, CAP of
PBC, American Lung Association and West Palm Beach Library Foundation.
Jim served as a volunteer mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters and serves or served on boards for Clinics Can Help, Area Agency on Aging (ADRC), PBC Medical Society Services, Leadership PBC, VSArts in PBC (now Arts for All) and Rotary Club of West Palm Beach. He has received awards for leadership, including the Leadership Excellence Award from Leadership Palm Beach County in 2014 and in that same year was awarded “The Fearless Caregiver Award.” Today besides his volunteer service, he works as a Certified Professional Life Coach, consultant/trainer with nonprofits and mentor to EDs/CEOs and retirees.
