Ashely Cacicedo was raised in the state of New Jersey and has been living in Florida since 2011. She has a Master of Science degree in Communication and Media and a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies with a minor in Media and Politics from Lynn University.
In her professional life, she serves as the Special Events Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, where she works with the Development and Volunteer Departments. Before her role at Habitat for Humanity, Ashley worked as a Legislative Assistant in the Florida Senate and as an Election Specialist for the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections.
Ashley is a believer in community service, education, and advocacy.
She has a passion for helping students and young professionals learn about government and develop leadership skills. She gets to put her enthusiasm into practice within her community organizations. She also serves in many leadership roles as the Chair of Young Leaguers of Palm Beach County, Recruitment Chair of New Leaders Council Palm Beach, Secretary of Palm Beach County Young Democrats, and as incoming 1st Vice President of the Democratic Women's Club of South Palm Beach County.
